Using Manthana

First-Time Setup

When you launch Manthana AI for the first time, the setup wizard will guide you through the final steps. The process differs depending on whether Ollama is already installed on your system.

If Ollama is Not Installed

You'll see the following steps:

1. Welcome screen

   • Click "Get Started"

   • Click "Install Ollama"

   • Wait for the installation to complete

   • The system will copy required models

   • Progress will be displayed on screen

1. Ready to Start

   • You'll see a list of installed models

   • Click "Start Manthana" to begin

If Ollama is Already Installed

The setup process will be shorter:

1. Model Setup

   • System will detect Ollama and begin copying models

   • Progress will be displayed

2. Ready to Start

   • Review the list of available models

   • Click "Start Manthana" to begin

Troubleshooting

Common Installation Issues

1. "Installation path cannot be changed" error

   • This is by design. Use the default path.

2. Models not loading

   • Ensure models.zip was copied to the correct location

   • Check if you have sufficient disk space

3. Application won't start

   • Verify Ollama is installed correctly

   • Check Windows Event Viewer for error logs

Uninstallation

To remove Manthana AI from your system:

1. Open Windows Settings

2. Go to Apps & Features

3. Search for "Manthana AI"

4. Click Uninstall and follow the prompts

Note: Uninstalling Manthana AI will not remove Ollama. If you wish to remove Ollama as well, you'll need to uninstall it separately.
